The stage is set for the final Professional Fighters League event of the 2024 regular season.
Brendan Loughnane and Justin Gonzales hit their contracted marks for the PFL 6 headliner during Thursday’s weigh-ins. Loughnane tipped the scales at 146 pounds, while Gonzales weighed 145.6.
PFL 6 takes place on Friday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and features regular season bouts at featherweight and welterweight. The evening’s main card airs on ESPN and ESPN+ beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, while prelims stream on ESPN+ at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
Loughnane, who won the 2022 PFL title at 145 pounds, kicked off his current campaign with a first-round technical knockout of Bellator veteran Pedro Carvalho at PFL 3 on April 19. The 34-year-old Englishman has been victorious in 10 of his 12 PFL appearances overall.
After beginning his professional tenure with victories in 14 of his first 15 outings, Gonzales will enter the matchup against Loughnane on a three-fight losing streak. He’ll need to make up some ground in the featherweight standings after suffering a first-round KO loss to Gabriel Braga in his PFL debut on April 19.
