Beatdown: Sherk, Trigg and the Latest on Purchase of PRIDE

Icon Sport middleweight champion Frank Trigg (Pictures) and UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk (Pictures) joined "Beatdown" with TJ DeSantis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross Friday.

Trigg has reinvented himself at 185 pounds. Capturing wins over Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Kazou Misaki, Trigg is on a roll. Next weekend in Hawaii Trigg will look to defend his title for the first time against former UFC fighter Robbie Lawler (Pictures). Trigg talks about the fight, how he is different at 185 pounds and what he expects from Lawler on fight night. Besides fighting, Trigg is a commentator for the PRIDE Fighting Championships. Frank talks about his role with the company and what he expects to happen after the expects sale to the Fertita brothers.

Sherk fills us in on how he's doing after rotator cuff surgery, and talks about the likely July title showdown against Hermes Franca (Pictures). He also talks about Brock Larson, who fights Erik Apple (Pictures) Saturday in Las Vegas.
