Beatdown: Fishman Expounds on Lawsuit; Riggs Talks WEC

TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com edtor Josh Gross were live for two hours on the Sherdog Radio Network for another edition of "Beatdown." Joining them were Joe Riggs (Pictures), and former PRIDE USA president Ed Fishman.

Fishman has made his name in the gaming industry. It wasn't until recently that Fishman found himself working in the sport of mixed martial arts. Working for the PRIDE Fighting Championships, it was rumored that Fishman was intersted in purchasing PRIDE from Dream Stage Entertainment. That speculation was thrown our Monday when Fishman filed a lawsuit against the Japanese company for breach of contract. Fishman joins TJ and Josh to discuss the lawsuit, his experinces with PRIDE, and what he knows about the possible sale of PRIDE to Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta.

Riggs has bounced back between 185 and 170 pounds. "Diesel" joins TJ and Josh to talk about about his MMA career, bouncing back from his loss to Diego Sanchez (Pictures), and moving to the WEC. Riggs also talks about where he is at mentally, and what he plans to do in the future in his mixed martial arts career.

TJ and Josh read listener mail, and open the phone lines which produced a call of "Uhmeeklio is a beast" proportions.
