8. Melvin Guillard vs. Gabe Ruediger

One of MMA’s more underrated lightweight knockout artists, Guillard was in top form against Ruediger at UFC 63. They took it to one another in the first round, and their fight was shaping up as a possible “Fight of the Night” candidate. However, thanks to Joe Lauzon’s stunning upset of Jens Pulver two bouts prior, Guillard’s sensational finish on Ruediger did not even net him “Knockout of the Night” honors.
A minute into the second round, the two separated from the clinch, and Guillard reset his feet, came forward and delivered a debilitating straight right to the body. Ruediger immediately doubled over, crumbled to his knees and turtled. Guillard rushed in and kicked the former World Extreme Cagefighting champion in the shoulder, forcing referee Herb Dean to dart in and halt the beating before he could rain down fists.
