Ramazonbek Temirov (15-2-1, 0-0 UFC) vs. C.J. Vergara (12-5-1, 3-3 UFC)ODDS: Temirov (-265), Vergara (+215)
Vergara is back on prospect-testing duty once again. Vergara has proven to be a consistently exciting fighter during his time in the UFC, as well as a nice change-up to help test up-and-coming fighters. He’s not a standout athlete, but he’s ridiculously tough, so his ability to eat damage and keep pushing the pace has allowed him to outlast much better athletes. That’s the assignment as he welcomes Uzbekistan’s Temirov to the Octagon. Temirov spent 2023 making his name in Japan, winning a wild brawl in his last fight. That sums up his approach. He’s a powerful athlete with a dedication to throwing absolute heat, with enough wrestling to keep things honest. It wouldn’t be a shock if Vergara does manage to outlast the UFC newcomer by the final horn, as Temirov tends to tire himself out thanks to throwing everything at full power. However, the call is that Temirov should be able to win at least two rounds with hard offense before things start to go sideways. The pick is Temirov via decision.
