Simeon Powell on Headlining PFL Europe: ‘It Means a Lot to Me’
European talent Simeon Powell is ready to showcase his skills in Saturday’s headliner as he takes on Mohamed Amine in a light heavyweight clash.
Professional Fighters League audiences are accustomed to United Kingdom’s Powell (7-0, 3-0 PFL), who has entertained the crowd thrice under the PFL banner. Now, “Smooth” will have the honor to headline PFL Europe 1 -- the opening event of the PFL European series -- hoping to secure a victory and cash in on the $100,000 prize at the end of the road. Ahead of the event, Powell talked with Sherdog about the adjustments he made in his personal life, such as hiring a nutritionist for his next assignment. The Titan Fighter Gym representative also revealed he trained in Thailand for a while and expressed his gratitude for headlining the card, underlying the importance of the event.
“It means a lot to me. It just shows that PFL are recognizing my talents and appreciating my work. Yeah, I'm getting rewarded for it. It's good to be put in this position and I'm just ready to go.”
