Mohammad Fakhreddine Says He Will Make Mohamed Said Maalem Pay for His Disrespect
“The Latest” won’t take any insults from his opponent.
In a matter of days, Mohammad Fakhreddine (14-4 1NC, 4-3 1NC Brave) will get a chance to put his hands on Mohamed Said Maalem (11-3, 2-0 Brave). There is bad blood between the two after the pair was supposed to collide in the Brave CF 50 co-main event with the vacant light heavyweight championship on the line. That night, Fakhreddine pulled out a few hours before the match due to an illness. Maalem expressed all his resentment about the missed opportunity in an interview inside the cage, mocking the problems of the current Brave middleweight titleholder. And “The Latest” took the words that were said that day personally.
“I wasn’t able to see him or his team,” he said. “I’m glad I wasn’t able to see him because I would have seen him the day after the fight, I was going to slap him. Especially after all the sh*t talk he did in the cage. That was sh*t talk, just like him. There was no need for whatever he said. The memes that he made and the poster he made about me sitting on a stool and shi*ting and [about] my last name, that was very disrespectful. I took that very personally, I took that in a very disrespectful way. I promised him I’ll make him pay. I’ll make him regret everything he did or said. Even though if it wasn’t his idea, I don’t care whose idea it was. He’s going to be the one paying for it.”
