Marthin Hamlet Confident He Will Take 2023 PFL Season by Storm
Marthin Hamlet believes things will go according to plans this year as he’s feeling more comfortable than ever inside the Smart Cage.
Hamlet (11-4, 5-3 PFL) used last year’s loss to Joshua Silveira and subsequent failure to reach the playoffs as fuel to start the 2023 Professional Fighters League Regular season on the right foot. His first assignment in 2023 lasted merely 65 seconds, the time to lock in a face crank that forced Mohammad Fakhreddine to tap. Hamlet was close to capturing the 205-pound PFL championship in 2021, but lost to Ultimate Fighting Championship alum Antonio Carlos Jr. This year, Hamlet is highly motivated and focused on winning the PFL light heavyweight championship, feeling more relaxed, experienced and happy in his current state. He’ll have the next chance to showcase his wellbeing when he faces Sam Kei on June 8 at PFL 4 2023 Regular Season.
“I've been [here] for two seasons, this is my third season. I just feel different. I feel more relaxed, I feel more focused. I'm just older, more experienced, and as I said, I'm very happy right now and enjoying my day from waking up to going to bed, all the training, all the communications I have with all my friends, family, and coaches. I'm in a happy place.”
