Kalinn Williams is well aware of the unpredictable fight style he will get from Michael Pereira at UFC Fight Night 183. Yet the Detroit native is not impressed with the acrobatic stylings of the Brazilian. And he has one warning for “Demolidor” before fight night: Protect your chin at all times.
“I look at it this way. The dude that I just fought [Abdul Razak Alhassan], he was more dangerous than the guy that’s in front of me,” Williams told Sherdog. “But I’ve never look past my opponents. I never bring a pillow to the fight. I never sleep on anybody. So I’m always in the gym. I’m always ready. No days off. Just like anybody else, if he does that against me; you can do that if you want to, but you’ve got to pay. Make sure when you’re doing all that your chin is protected. We going to test it out.”
In his conversation with Sherdog, the 26-year-old spoke on his rapid rise in popularity after adding himself to the Ultimate Fighting Championship record books with speedy knockouts in his first two outings in the Octagon, as well as his upcoming fight inside the UFC Apex and his impressive suit-game that he says has been a staple of his fight night traditions since early in his career.
