Josh Silveira Believes Ty Flores Had a ‘Bit of Luck’ to Make PFL Playoffs
Joshua Silveira believes Ty Flores’ “luck” will end once they square off in the Professional Fighters League cage.
Silveira (11-1, 4-1 PFL) won’t let Flores stand in his way to the $1 million prize. Silveira secured his place on the Aug. 4 2023 PFL Playoffs card after submitting Sam Kei via rear-naked choke at 2023 PFL 1 and overcoming Delan Monte via first-round technical knockout. Now, he’s focused on defeating Flores. Last year, Silveira’s path stopped in the playoffs after suffering a loss to teammate Omari Akhmedov. This year, though, “Coninha” is looking to get past the PFL playoffs, where he believes his opponent made it thanks to a fair share of luck.
“We are kind of somewhat similar fighters when it comes to wrestling. I just think I'm in better shape. I just think I'm in better shape, and I just think I just going to have a better IQ level. It's going to be a hard time for him. I think Flores got a little bit of luck with a little bit of how the season turned out, and that's why he's got here to this point. It all ends now. I think I'm the guy that's going to prevent all this from happening, unfortunately.”
