Back in California after an emotional week on “Fight Island,” where he saw pupils Mauricio Rua and Fabricio Werdum wins their fights at UFC on ESPN 14, Kings MMA leader Rafael Cordeiro talked to Sherdog Brazilian correspondent Marcelo Alonso about the roller-coaster week that unfolded.
He also provided updates regarding Mike Tyson’s preparation to face Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout scheduled for Sept. 12 in California:
“The way Mike trains I don’t believe this fight goes till the end,” said Cordeiro.
The former Chute Boxe trainer also said Tyson will start the sparring next week with Kelvin Gastelum and Marvin Vettori.
