Coach Speak: Former Pettis BJJ Trainer, Current ‘Pitbull’ Mentor Talks Bellator 297 Co-Main Event
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu trainer of Sergio Pettis since his first mixed martial arts bout, Daniel Wanderley couldn't reach a professional agreement with Roufusport last year and decided to follow his own path.
A few months ago Wanderley received an invitation from Patricio Freire to take part in his camp, and decided to accept the offer. In the following video interview, the BJJ black belt explained his decision, revealed details of Patricio’s camp in Natal and, knowing both fighters like no other trainer, gave his prediction about how Bellator bantamweight title fight will unfold on Friday.
Wanderley also predicted his former student, Belal Muhammed, will be the next Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight champion.
