Chris Wade Is Ready to Do Whatever It Takes to Secure His Place in the Playoffs

Chris Wade came agonizingly close to winning the Professional Fighters League featherweight championship last year, but came up short in the final against Movlid Khaybulaev. This year, “The Long Island Killer” (21-7, 9-4 PFL) is resolved not to let anything get between himself and his goal. He started off the 2022 season on the right foot as he outpointed two-time PFL titleholder Lance Palmer via unanimous decision at PFL 2. In doing so, Wade took home three precious points, as did many other fighters competing in his weight class. Now scheduled to clash with his fellow Ultimate Fighting Championship alum Kyle Bochniak at PFL 5 on June 24, Wade explained his thoughts on PFL's point system and the likelihood of securing his playoff spot with a finish as opposed to taking a safer decision win.
