Anton Turkalj Reflects on Scoring Fastest KO in Brave CF History

“The Pleasure Man” recently scored the fastest knockout in Brave Combat Federation history.

At the age of 24, Swedish up-and-comer Anton Turkalj has already scored 7 victories, all before the end of the first or the second round. His latest cage appearance dates back to Brave CF 50, where Turkalj faced Konstantin Soldatov. For the young Viking, it was a quick night at the office. After feinting a head kick, “The Pleasure Man” landed a vicious spinning backfist that left his opponent unconscious 13 seconds into the fight. That night, the GBG MMA representative scored his fastest success in his career and set a promotional record for the quickest KO victory.

“Every time I fight, I’m always the main event,” he said while talking with Sherdog. “Even if I’m not the last fight, I’m always the main event. It’s always like that.”

Turkalj then opened a bit about his game plan, which, according to him, should have seen him taking the fight to the distance for the first time in his career.

“I have never done three rounds in MMA,” he added. “I always finished my opponent, so my coach said, ‘Try to do three rounds because you need it for the future because you are going to get tougher opponents all the time, so you need to.’I do a lot of conditioning, I do a lot of sprints, so I really wanted to make a test.”

He also spoke about dealing with injuries for the second half of 2020, the origin of his new nickname, not liking Soldatov’s behavior before the fight, which led to a few “super-necessary” punches to him after he hit the canvas, scoring the fastest exit out of the cage after the victory and much more.
