Amber Leibrock Is Ready to Take People’s Heads Home Ahead of PFL Playoffs
Amber Leibrock is approaching her next Professional Fighters League assignment with a new and more aggressive mindset.
The loss Leibrock (7-5, 1-1 PFL) suffered in her clash with 2022 PFL champion Larissa Pacheco fuels the California-born athlete ahead of her clash with Marina Mokhnatkina. The Bellator MMA alum still scored a spot in this year’s PFL playoffs thanks to her first-round knockout win over Martina Jindrova in April. Ahead of her bout, Leibrock acknowledged expressed a desire to change her approach, aiming to be more aggressive and focused on finishing her opponents in future fights. She also aims to face Larissa Pacheco again, possibly in the finals of the PFL tournament. While Leibrock stated that her approach is professional and not personal, she did admit to wanting to seek revenge and earn her respect back against Pacheco.
“I was ready to just kind of perform, go through three rounds, blah, blah, blah, blah. I think I gave [Pacheco] a little bit too much respect, but next time we see each other, I'm gonna go in there to finish her the same way she came in to finish me. That's pretty much my mindset for all these fights up to come. I'm tired of giving people respect. I'm tired of, ‘Oh, go three rounds.’ ready. I'm always ready for a war, but I'm going back in there to like start knocking people out again. I wanna finish people, I wanna take people's heads home. That's pretty much the mentality from here on out. No matter what, if we step in there at every moment, I'm aiming to knock you out. I'm aiming to finish you, I'm aiming to kill you. That's it.”
