The UFC Singapore main event matchup between Demian Maia and Ben Askren was everything it promised to be. While both men shared some heavy strikes early on, the fun was in the scrambles the two shared on the ground. Ultimately, Maia got the better of "Funky" in the third round, sweeping Askren after a takedown and taking the back. Maia was able to get in a rear-naked choke deep, that put Askren to sleep for a few seconds.
