In the co-main event of Bellator 225, Vitaly Minakov picked up a quick first-round knockout win over Tim Johnson. Johnson was originally slated to face Azunna Anyanwu on the preliminary card. However, after Minakov's original opponent, Jay Ayala, was pulled, Johnson stepped in. Minakov caught Johnson with a clean right hand that stunned the latter, before he was finished off against the cage with punches.
Minakov is now back in the win column after suffering the first defeat of his career to Cheick Kongo in February.
