Marlon Vera knows how to make his offense count.

While he was outlanded by a significant amount in his matchup with Rob Font in the UFC on ESPN 35 main event, “Chito” battered his adversary to the tune of three knockdowns in a unanimous decision triumph at the UFC Apex on Saturday night. Don’t look now, but Vera is one of the winningest bantamweights in promotion history, and his current three-bout streak has him on the move to No. 6 in Sherdog’s latest 135-pound poll.

Font, who missed weight by 2.5 pounds and is on the first two-fight losing streak of his professional career, falls to No. 8 in our rankings. To make matters worse, his mishap on the scale resulted in him losing out on a $50,000 “Fight of the Night” bonus.
