Knopp (6-1-0) entered the 195-pound bout with an unblemished record, having all six of his victories end by knock out.

As expected Knopp and Torgeson elected to stand up and throw punches for the majority of the bout with much of the action confined against the cage.

Midway through the second round, Torgeson was able to slam Knopp to the mat, but was unable to fully take advantage as both fighters quickly returned to their feet.

The two exchanged punches throughout the third round with neither appearing to fully gain control of the contest. The three-round ended in a barrage of punches with both fighters finding their target.

SFL 46 will air March 9 on Myx TV with the event’s online debut taking place on March 10. Fans can access the show online through halquistproductions.com.

In the 155-pound semi-main event, Patrick Benson (2-0) knocked off Jason Gray (4-3-0) by tri-angle choke in the first round (3:23).

Olympia’s Dylan Potter improved his record to a perfect 3-0 by beating fellow 185-pounder Rob Burgess (0-2-0). A Potter arm bar 2:20 into the second round capped the physical bout.

Justin Hugo (1-1-0) scored his first professional career victory with a second-round (4:16) submission via arm bar of Jon Marc Cortez, who was making his pro debut.

Joey Pierotti looked razor sharp in his debut, needing just 1:09 to put away Fay Bursell by rear-naked choke.

Anthony Zender (3-8-0) opened the card by defeating Luis Gomez (0-2-0) by TKO in a battle of 130 pounders. The end came 1:14 in the second round due to strikes.

The 145-pound bout between Jeremie Montgomery and Armando Best ended in no contest following a doctor stoppage due to an inadvertent eye poke to Pierce.

Rounding out the card was Ryan Schecterson, who defeated Nick Coughran in a battle of 130 pounders by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) and Jeremie Montgomery, who beat Armando Best (145 pounds) by second round D’arce choke (3:49).
