T.J. Dillashaw and Ronda Rousey Named Fighters of the Year on 'Inside MMA's 2014 Bazzie Awards Show

(PRESS RELEASE) -- LOS ANGELES – Recognizing the year’s best fights, fighters and moments in mixed martial arts, AXS TV’s INSIDE MMA broadcast its annual MMA award show the 2014 Bazzie Awards tonight. The seventh annual Bazzie Awards named UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw male fighter of the year and UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey female fighter of the year in addition to other eight awards given out on the evening.

Named after series host and MMA legend Bas Rutten, the Bazzie Awards have been handed out annually since 2008. The winners are voted on by Rutten and co-host Kenny Rice along with correspondent Ron Kruck and the INSIDE MMA and AXS TV FIGHTS producers.

Rice and Rutten handed out awards tonight for fight, upset and breakthrough fighter of the year; AXS TV FIGHTS rising star; and knockout punch, kick and submission of the year. For the second straight year, INSIDE MMA announced the “Prime Cuts” award honoring this year’s best INSIDE MMA viewer submission, as voted on by the viewers.
