(PRESS RELEASE) -- Los Angeles – Tonight’s episode of INSIDE MMA celebrates the series’ eighth anniversary and, as a staple in AXS TV FIGHTS Friday night line-up, MMA’s longest running news magazine series pulled no punches, bringing an action-packed and flavor-filled episode, live from the INSIDE MMA studio in Los Angeles.
With the NFL season kicking off this week, INSIDE MMA took a look at the crossover that often exists between football and mixed martial arts, starting with a look at how MMA training translates into on-field production for players like Marshawn Lynch and Justin Tuck. In this feature, INSIDE MMA correspondent Ron Kruck tells the story of how some NFL players are using MMA fundamentals to improve their game. Then, the INSIDE MMA guys drafted a fantasy football team made entirely out of MMA fighters, many of whom played football at the collegiate and professional level. Leading the fantasy team is Carlos Condit at quarterback, Johny Hendricks at running back, Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar at defensive tackle, and even AXS TV FIGHTS commentator UFC Hall of Famer Pat Miletich as the leader of the defense at middle linebacker.
