Long (6-1-0), who hails from Wales but currently fights out of the Trojan Free Fighters camp, is ranked as one of the UK’s top 20 lightweights and will be making his Cage Warriors debut following impressive victories over the highly-rated Diego Vital and CWFC veteran Jacek Toczydlowski.

Redmond (4-3-0) will be return to CWFC action for the first time since dominating Yuri Malko at Cage Warriors 47 in June in his hometown of Dublin, where the Team Ryano fighter picked up a second-round TKO win.

The meeting of Long and Redmond will be one of six fights on the Cage Warriors 49 main card, which will be co-headlined by the clash of top welterweight contenders Cathal Pendred and Bruno Carvalho, and the women’s flyweight title tournament final between Rosi Sexton and Sheila Gaff.

Following the enforced withdrawal of John Phillips due to injury, the lightweight contest involving Daniel Thomas and Merv Mulholland has now been promoted to the main card from the prelims.
