(PRESS RELEASE) -- NEW YORK, New York – Superstar Lyman Good (16-3) of New York, N.Y. will go to war for his second-career Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) world championship when he challenges reigning Cage Fury Fighting Championships (www.cffc.tv) welterweight (170 pounds) kingpin and undefeated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Jonavin Webb (7-0) of Marlton, N.J. in the main event of a world championship quadruple header and five-bout live pay-per-view telecast on Saturday, November 1 from the Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.
“We are excited to partner with both GFL and Integrated Sports Media to bring the CFFC product to millions of homes on live pay-per-view television,” said CFFC President Rob Haydak. “This is, without a doubt, the finest and most complete lineup of top-level professional bouts we have assembled to date, so we are looking forward to crowning four new world champions in front of a live television audience on November 1.”
Webb, a 25-year-old protégé of Daniel Gracie, became the CFFC welterweight champion after scoring a thunderous, third round (4:52) TKO on Daniel Stittgen on August 9 to capture the vacant title.
The 29-year-old Good, the first Bellator Fighting Championships welterweight champion in history, left the promotion following a unanimous decision win over Dante Rivera on April 4, 2013. Good made his CFFC debut on June 21, scoring a devastating KO on Matt Secor with an onslaught of punches in the first round (4:21) of battle.
In the co-main event, two furious, aggressive-minded finishers in Ronald Stallings (12-4) of Belcamp, M.D. and Tim Williams (9-1) of Millville, N.J. will face off for the vacant CFFC world middleweight (185 pounds) crown. To date, both fighters have claimed all of their professional victories by way of (T)KO or submission.
In other world championship action on the live televised main card, Jimmie Rivera (14-1) of Elmwood Park, N.J. will look to secure his 14th consecutive victory when he collides with fellow star Anthony Durnell (11-3) of Pittsburgh, Penn. for the vacant CFFC bantamweight (135 pounds) crown. Durnell is aiming for his 4th straight win.
CFFC World Heavyweight Champion and heavy-handed KO artist Zu Anyanwu (7-2) will put his strap on the line against Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt Plinio Cruz (6-5) and, in the first live, televised bout, rising stars Jonathan DelBrugge (5-1) of Ellicott City, M.D. and Jordan Stiner (8-1) of Hatfield, Penn. will lock horns in a lightweight (155 pounds) contest.
A live pre-show featuring six preliminary card bouts will begin at 6 p.m. EST/3 p.m. PST, and will be available exclusively online at www.gfl.tv.
