CFC 3 News Release

Combat FC has once again proven itself as one of North America's top MMA Events. Saturday February 17th Combat FC returned to Orlando's UCF Arena with CFC 3. It was a night of spectacular knockouts, takedowns, and submissions. The arena was packed to the roof with excited fans who feverishly cheered the fights.

Highlights from the night include Brad "The Hillbilly Heartthrob" Imes, from the Miletich camp, making quick work of Chris Adams by TKO'ing him in less then 20 seconds. Sumei Sakai, a pro wrestler from Japan, came out with a crazy double leg drop kick against Jessica Aguilar that got the crowd roaring. Jason Carapallucci sent Mike Morris horizontal into the air early in their fight with a powerful right hand that left Morris out cold for a considerable amount of time.

The first welterweight title fight in Combat FC history was held between Ben Saunders from American Top Team and Charlie Blanchard from Obake Dojo. Saunders Brazilian Ju-Jitsu proved unstoppable as he got the back of Blanchard going for a rear named choke that ended up as an arm bar that forced Blanchard to tap out, crowning Sauners the first welterweight champion in Combat FC history.

Jonathan Brookins demonstrated to the Combat FC fans, yet again, that he is fighter to be feared. His speed and tenacity has been unrivaled in the Combat FC ring of steel. Brookins defeated Sean Bartlett with a barrage of quick strikes that resulted in a TKO just before the end of the first round.

Along with the great fights the fans were excited to see Pat Miletich (Pictures) as a guest commentator alongside Combat FC's broadcast commentators TJ De Santis (from Sherdog's Beatdown Radio) and Jay Adams. Crazy Horse was also in attendance as Brookins corner man, as well as Mask and Skrape from Tap Out Magazine who enjoyed their seats next to the Combat Girls, Combat FC's new ring card girls.

Combat FC has solidified it's position in the MMA world with this event. Stay tuned for the broadcast of CFC 3, and see for yourself that Combat FC is an event not to be missed.
