(PRESS RELEASE) -- LOS ANGELES – Tonight on AXS TV’S INSIDE MMA, correspondent Ron Kruck provides exclusive interviews with Chairman Francisco Aguilar and medical consultant Dr. Timothy Trainor following the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s (NSAC) ruling yesterday to ban therapeutic use exemptions for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) in combat sports statewide.
Also during the show, series hosts Bas Rutten and Kenny Rice interviewed UFC fighters Gilbert Melendez and Benson Henderson about Melendez’s new UFC contract.
Gilbert Melendez on his new UFC deal: “Both sides were very professional on this. Bellator, Bjorn [Rebney] and obviously the UFC as well were professional as always. My contract was up, I explored the options and when the UFC reviewed the offer from Bellator, Lorenzo got on the line and expressed his passion for the organization and how invested he was in me and being a part of the organization and really won me over and got me very excited and we came to an agreement.”

Benson Henderson on the impact of Melendez’ new deal: “I am thrilled to death about Gilbert Melendez’ renegotiation tactics and how it worked out in his favor, because that’s good for fighters and I like that. I think that’s gonna be one of the undertold stories out there. Hats off to Gilbert, you know, good for you. I don’t really talk bad about people doing well for themselves so good for Gilbert Melendez.”
