In a battle between two rising prospects, it was Mickey Gall who had his hand raised in the UFC on Fox 22 co-main event. Gall took Sage Northcutt down immediately in the opening stanza and dominated the karate star, though “Super” Sage was able to fend off the myriad of submission attempts.

Gall didn’t allow that happen in the second, though, as he locked in a typical rear-naked choke after dropping Northcutt with a punch to the head. Northcutt tried to escape out of the choke but couldn’t and had no choice but to tap at the 1:40 mark.
