UFC Middleweight Hector Lombard Posts Video, Photos Detailing Nasty Car Accident on Instagram

Hector Lombard's luck in the Octagon recently hasn't been great, but Sunday night, the Olympic judoka had fortune on his side when he was on the road.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight veteran posted a video and series of photos to Instagram on Sunday evening, detailing a traffic accident he was involved in, alongside several unnamed family and friends (online betting).

"Just got into a big accident here and I got my friends [here],” Lombard says in the video, while inspecting the damage to the car with the other passengers. “Actually, I've got a friend from Cuba who's helping me out with changing tires.”

The pictures show a heavily smashed windshield which has come apart from the automobile's roof. The roof itself has bent and bowed upward.

“Lucky to be alive! God is good God is great!” Lombard wrote in a caption on one of the photos of the smashed car.

Lombard last fought on Feb. 19 the UFC Fight Night card in Halifax, Nova Scotia, dropping a unanimous decision to former UFC welterweight champ Johny Hendricks. The American Top Team fighter is now 0-3 (1 NC) in his last four bouts.
