UFC Fight Night 122 Medical Suspensions: Bisping Gets 60 Days Following Knockout Loss

Michael Bisping has received a 60-day medical suspension after being finished for the second time in three weeks at UFC Fight Night 122.

The UFC released a list of medical suspensions from the event to mixedmartialarts.com on Tuesday. UFC Fight Night 122 took place at Mercedez-Benz Arena in Shanghai this past Saturday, marking the promotion’s first-ever visit to mainland China.

Bisping suffered a knockout loss to Kelvin Gastelum 2:30 into the opening round of their headlining middleweight encounter. “The Count” lost his middleweight title after being choked unconscious by Georges St. Pierre at UFC 217 on Nov. 4 but was cleared to compete despite initially receiving a 30-day medical suspension. Bisping stepped in on short notice for Anderson Silva, who was pulled from the card due to an anti-doping violation.

In addition to his 60-day layoff, Bisping is also banned from contact for 45 days. Gatelum received a mandatory seven-day medical suspension.

Four fighters are looking at potential 180-day suspensions pending doctor clearance: Zak Ottow (right hand), Song Yadong (right foot); Shamil Abdurakhimov (left thumb) and Gina Mazany (left toe).

Alex Garcia: suspended 7 days

Muslim Salikhov: suspended 7 days

Zabit Magomedsharipov: suspended 7 days

Sheymon Moraes: suspended minimum 30 days with 21 days no contact for hard bout

Kenan Song: suspended 7 days

Bobby Nash: suspended minimum 45 days with 30 days no contact for TKO

Xiaonan Yan: suspended 45 days due to lip laceration and 30 days no contact

Kailin Curran: suspended minimum 30 days with 21 days no contact for hard bout

Yadong Song: suspended 180 days or until cleared by orthopedic doctor for right foot, and suspended minimum 30 days with 21 days no contact

Bharat Kandare: suspended minimum 30 days with 21 days no contact for hard bout

Shamil Abdurakhimov: suspended 180 days or until cleared by orthopedic doctor for left thumb, and suspended minimum 30 days with 21 days no contact

Chase Sherman: suspended minimum 45 days with 30 days no contact for TKO

Gina Mazany: suspended 180 days or until cleared by X-ray for left toe, and suspended minimum 30 days with 21 days no contact

Yanan Wu: suspended minimum 30 days with 21 days no contact
