Undefeated welterweight boxing champ Errol Spence Jr. has reportedly been involved in a serious car crash on Thursday.

According to a report from CBS 11 News in Dallas, Spence was driving his Ferrari in Dallas at 3 a.m. CT, and drove over the center median at a high speed causing his car to flip over several times and throw him from the car. Police also stated that he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time. No other vehicles were reportedly involved in the incident, and Spence has been taken to the hospital. Although currently in the intensive care unit and listed in serious condition, he is expected to survive these injuries.

Premier Boxing Championships spokesman Tim Smith, in a statement to ESPN, said, "Errol was in an accident, and his parents are with him at the hospital. The doctors are monitoring his condition, but his injuries are not life-threatening. We will have further updates as the doctors update his condition. We're all wishing the best for Errol."

Spence (26-0, 21 KOs) recently competed against Shawn Porter (30-3-1, 17 KOs) to headline a pay-per-view event in Los Angeles, and Spence came out on top by split decision in a thrilling battle. With the win, Spence unified the IBF and WBC welterweight straps, and has his sights set on former champions Danny Garcia and Manny Pacquiao next. His opponent, Porter, sent him well-wishes and hoped for a speedy recovery. There has since been an outpouring of support from the boxing community towards Spence, including current pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford, Top Rank Boxing, Sky Sports Boxing, the Dallas Cowboys and many other athletes, teams and organizations.
