The promotion announced the bout on Tuesday. LFA 84 takes place at Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix on March 20 and airs on UFC Fight Pass at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Three other contests were announced for the event: Richard Palencia vs. Desmond Torres at bantamweight; Kevin Natividad vs. Kyle Estrada at bantamweight and Kamuela Kirk vs. Luke Faultersack at featherweight.

A Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, Madrid enters the matchup on a four-bout submission streak. Most recently, “Demigod” tapped Chris Harris with a rear-naked choke 51 seconds into their encounter at LFA 72 this past July. The 35-year-old owns a 17-6 career mark, with 15 of those triumphs coming via submission.

Kasanganay is coming off a decision win over Kailan Hill on Season 3 of Dana White’s Contender Series this past August. The 26-year-old native is 6-0 as a professional, a record that includes a victory against Devorious Tubbs under the LFA banner.
