LFA 16 Weigh-in Results: Johnny Bedford, Jimmy Flick Cleared for Conflict

Houston-based Legacy Fighting Alliance will stay in the great state of Texas on Friday as The Bomb Factory in Dallas will serve as the host venue for LFA 16. Johnny Bedford is set to take on fellow bantamweight Jimmy Flick in the main event and at Thursday’s weigh-ins, both men were spot-on, giving the event the expected green light.

Flick, from nearby Oklahoma, has had a topsy-turvy run of luck inside the cage over the last five years. Having fought sparingly during the span, “The Brick” has gone just 2-3 and is coming off a second-round knockout loss at Legacy FC 63 in December. Flick is gunning to get back on track and when he stepped onto the scale, he came in officially at 135.25 pounds.

Bedford, who has more than triple the professional MMA experience of his opponent, has won his last two bouts. The Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran has fought just twice since being release from his Octagon duties in September 2014, but a submission and a knockout in the WXC promotion have boosted his confidence. “Brutal” Johnny is aiming to keep his winning streak alive and the Fort Worth fighter weighed in at 136 pounds.

LFA 16 will be broadcast live on AXS TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
