Jerome Le Banner Out of Road FC 53, Aorigele to Face Jae Hyuk Heo
Road Fighting Championship 53 has undergone a last-minute
change to its May 18 card taking place on Jeju Island in South
Korea. Chinese heavyweight Aorigele was
set to face kickboxing legend Jerome Le
Banner in his promotional debut, but a recent back injury has
left the Frenchman unable to compete.
Instead, Aorigele will now square off against Jae Hyuk Heo. The 320-pound South Korean has gone 1-1 in his first two professional mixed martial arts outings, winning his debut via knockout and losing his second fight in the same manner.
Jeju will host Road FC in the first ever professional MMA event to take place on the famous South Korean island. Headlining the card will be a kickboxing title bout between lightweight champion A-Sol Kwon and one million dollar tournament winner Mansour Barnaoui. Additionally, Dong Guk Shin faces Tamotsu Hayashi in a highly anticipated rematch while heavyweight prospects Dong Hwan Lim and Tae In Kim will open the main card.
Road FC 53 will take place on May 18 in Halla Gymnasium and can be watched live on Dazn.
