5 Fighters Receive Medical Suspensions After UFC Live 4 Losses

Five fighters who competed at Sunday’s UFC Live 4 “Kongo vs. Barry” have been medically suspended by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission.

Headliner Pat Barry, Edward Faaloloto, Matt Grice, Nik Lentz and Christian Morecraft were each handed suspensions following their respective losses at Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center. Sherdog.com learned of the suspensions Tuesday from PSAC officials.

Barry, Morecraft and Lentz received the stiffest suspensions, as each of the three fighters must sit on the sidelines for a minimum of 60 days. According to the commission, Barry must receive neurological clearance and Lentz must be given the go-ahead on his injured right orbital bone before either of them can compete.

Grice and Faaloloto received suspensions of 45 and 30 days following TKO defeats at the hands of Ricardo Lamas and Michael Johnson, respectively.

UFC Live 4 medical suspensions:
Pat Barry: Suspended 60 days; needs neuro clearance
Nik Lentz: Suspended 60 days; must have right eye (orbital) cleared
Christian Morecraft: Suspended 60 days for knockout
Matt Grice: Suspended 45 days for TKO
Edward Faaloloto: Suspended 30 days for TKO
