The Walkmen: UFC on Fox 14 Walkout Songs

When Anthony Johnson was cut by the Ultimate Fighting Championship three years ago, he essentially had to start over from scratch, reassess his career and refocus his dedication to mixed martial arts. He grew perfectly into his light heavyweight build, began a torrid winning streak, re-signed with the UFC and eventually found himself fighting for a crack at light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Johnson on Saturday at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm picked the perfect moment to prove his worth. It seemed fitting that he walked to the Octagon to hip hop icon Lil Wayne’s “Moment” -- a track taken from the “Young Money: Rise of Empire” compilation. Johnson made the most of his moment, as he blew apart betting favorite Alexander Gustafsson in less than three minutes in the UFC on Fox 14 main event. Will he capture the moment when he locks horns with “Bones” later this year?

Meanwhile, former Dream and Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi’s choice of “Hate or Glory” as his walkout song made sense when the smoke cleared following his 70-second finish on MMA legend Dan Henderson in the co-headliner. He was relishing the glory that went along with stopping one of the most decorated fighters in history, though longtime “Hendo” fans likely hate the guy for crippling the American’s chances at a storybook conclusion to his career.

Finally, Andy Ogle walked out to the Outkast classic “Hey Ya!” and was probably thinking those exact words when his fight against Makwan Amirkhani ended not long after it began. A flying knee and follow-up punches from the Finnish newcomer took out Ogle in just eight seconds -- almost the same amount of time it took the Team Alpha Male-trained Englishman to say, “Hey Ya!”
