The Insane Prop Bets of UFC Fight Night 143

Wow. That is the first word that should be used to describe UFC Fight Night 143, which went down on Saturday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It was an amazing night of fights for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and its fans, as it featured a number of devastating finishes, back-and-forth battles and unforeseen upsets. Not surprisingly, the prop bet market turned out to be quite lucrative once again. These are the five most insane prop bets to cash at UFC Fight Night 143:

Henry Cejudo Wins in Round 1 (+1275)

The UFC on ESPN era kicked off with a bang, as Cejudo retained his flyweight title with a first-round technical knockout of bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw. Although many pundits saw Cejudo winning the champion-versus-champion superfight, no one could have foreseen him doing so in barely more than 30 seconds. The prop on Cejudo winning by knockout hit at a nice +525 mark, but even better was the prop on his winning in the first round, which hit at +1275. It was the biggest prop on the entire card to cash.

Allen Crowder Wins in Round 2 (+1200)

Although it came under less-than-ideal circumstances, Crowder found a way to upset Greg Hardy in the co-main event: disqualification via illegal knee in the second round. The prop on Crowder winning in the middle stanza hit at a robust +1200. Moreover, some sportsbooks would have also paid out on the “Crowder wins by knockout” prop, as those often include disqualifications. In other words, Crowder backers enjoyed themselves.

Donald Cerrone Wins in Round 2 (+725)

One of the most impressive performances on a card full of them came courtesy of Cerrone, who brutally knocked out lightweight upstart Alexander Hernandez in a mild upset. Cerrone won a double bonus for his efforts and may get a money fight against Conor McGregor out of it, as well. The prop on “Cowboy” winning by knockout hit at +579, and the prop on his winning in the second round scored at +725.

Paige VanZant Wins in Round 2 (+750)

After a long layoff due to a broken arm, VanZant looked rusty against Rachael Ostovich and lost the first round, where she was outwrestled by the Hawaiian. However, VanZant turned things around in the second and showed off her crafty submission game, as she managed to put Ostovich in a bad position and secure the armbar. The prop on VanZant winning by tapout hit at +585, but even more profitable was her winning in the second round at +750.

Chance Rencountre Wins in Round 1 (+825)

The first fight of the UFC Fight Night 143 card saw Rencountre submit Kyle Stewart. Rencountre was the underdog despite having had a full camp. Not only did he get overlooked on the money line, but a couple of his props cashed, too. The prop on Rencountre winning by submission scored at +500, but even better was the Rencountre wins in the first round prop, which hit at +825.
