Michael Bisping really liked being a professional fighter.
The article from back then describes Bisping removing the eye fans are used to seeing, revealing that what folks are used to seeing on Bisping is a prosthetic. This isn't for fight fans, but for getting passed the medicals for his fights. If the description of his eye removal wasn't enough, Bisping doubled down this week on his “Believe You Me” podcast by popping it out again and saying, “I wore my glasses, my dark glasses to hide from the commission. Get a load of this baby boys.” He then proceeds to remove it for the listeners of his video podcast (seen above).
With UFC 244 a month away being headlined for a fight to see who the “Baddest MF” is in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, there should be an honorable mention for Bisping, who not only continued to fight with an injury that would shelve a lot of fighters, but went out of his way to keep doing what he loved. Not only did he keep fighting and winning, but he got to avenge his losses to Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson while winning the middleweight title to boot.
Bisping would lose that title to Georges St. Pierre but that loss does not seem so bad now, knowing St-Pierre beat a one-eyed man.
