Buckley, 30, steps back into view with a five-fight winning streak in tow. The Murcielago MMA export last saw action at UFC 307, where he punched out Stephen Thompson in the third round of their Oct. 5 confrontation. Buckley has delivered 14 of his 20 professional victories by knockout or technical knockout. Covington, meanwhile, has not fought since he dropped a five-round unanimous decision to Leon Edwards in a failed bid to capture the undisputed welterweight crown at UFC 296 nearly a year ago. The 36-year-old MMA Masters rep holds a 12-4 record across his 16 appearances inside the Octagon.
