BetUS.com lists Makhachev as a -250 favorite for the main event, with Volkanovski as a +200 underdog. In the co-headliner, Chimaev is favored at -330, with Usman coming back at +240.

Makhachev, 31, enters the Octagon on the strength of a 12-fight winning streak that includes his unanimous decision over Volkanovski at UFC 284 in February. He owns a stellar 13-1 record in the UFC, a knockout loss to Adriano Martins in 2015 his only misstep. Makhachev has delivered 15 of his 24 career victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission. Volkanovski, meanwhile, has won 23 of his past 24 bouts. The 35-year-old Aussie last competed at UFC 290, where he retained his featherweight title with a third-round stoppage of “The Ultimate Fighter Latin America” winner Yair Rodriguez on July 8. The loss to Makhachev was Volkanovski’s first in 3,564 days.

UFC 294 “Makhachev vs. Volkanovski 2” also features a light heavyweight showcase matching Magomed Ankalaev (-350) with Johnny Walker (+250), a middleweight affair pitting Ikram Aliskerov (-565) against Warlley Alves (+390) and a bantamweight tilt pairing Said Nurmagomedov (-220) with Muin Gafurov (+180).
