The Ultimate Fighting Championship is back in Abu Dhabi for UFC 242. It’s the first event of a new five-year agreement with the United Arab Emirates.
In the main event, undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will look to defend his belt against Dustin Poirier. The Dagestani champion is coming off of a nine-month suspension following his first title defense over Conor McGregor at UFC 229. As for Poirier, he is the current interim champion after beating Max Holloway at UFC 236.
The rest of the main card features three other lightweight bouts and a heavyweight battle. The co-main event sees a rematch between Edson Barboza vs. Paul Felder in a fight four years in the making. Also at lightweight is Islam Makhachev taking on Davi Ramos. Meanwhile, the lone non-lightweight fight on the main card is Curtis Blaydes vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov. Opening up the pay-per-view will be a scrap between Mairbek Taisumov and Diego Ferreira.
The UFC 242 main card airs live on pay-per-view at 2 p.m. ET. The prelims take place on FX and ESPN+ at noon ET, while the early prelims are on ESPN+ and Fight Pass starting at 10:15 a.m. ET.
