The Legacy Fighting Alliance on Saturday returns to Brazil, promising fight fans an electrifying extravaganza of mixed martial arts action. LFA 179 will take place inside Arena 1 at Parque Olimpico in Rio de Janeiro, serving as the organization’s 15th event to grace Brazilian soil since its international expansion in 2021.
The card will be headlined by a welterweight championship showdown that witnesses reigning champion Geraldo Coelho de Lima Neto put his title on the line against Vanilton Antunes. Neto, a submission specialist with an impressive 18-6 record, enters the cage fresh off triumphant outings against Argemiro Delmandes and Magnus Kelly Conrado. Meanwhile, Antunes boasts a record of 15-6 and will be making his promotional debut. The co-main event features a featherweight showdown, as Jose Mauro do Amaral Delano and Alan Villalba lock horns in an explosive showdown.
