Brian KnappMay 05, 2022

Ryan Bader will defend his undisputed Bellator MMA heavyweight championship when his rematch with Cheick Kongo headlines Bellator 280 on Friday at Accor Arena in Paris. Their initial encounter ended in a no contest due to an accidental eye poke in October 2020.

Bellator 280 “Bader vs. Kongo 2”—which airs live on Showtime at 4 p.m. ET/1 a.m. PT—also features a light heavyweight co-main event matching Yoel Romero with Alex Polizzi, a lightweight affair pitting Davy Gallon against Benjamin Brander and a pair of middleweight tilts, as Lorenz Larkin meets Kyle Stewart and Mike Shipman faces Gregory Babene. The eight-fight undercard will stream to the Bellator YouTube channel in its entirety at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
