Neither Kate Jackson nor Denise Kielholtz expected to be in this position, but another failed weight cut from Paul Daley has thrust them into the Bellator MMA spotlight.

Jackson will confront Kielholtz in the impromptu Bellator 247 headliner on Thursday at the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy, as the two flyweight hopefuls jockey for position in the long line that has formed behind undefeated champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane. They were charged with replacing the original Daley-Derek Anderson main event once the aforementioned Brit was hospitalized on the eve of the show.

Bellator 247 “Jackson vs. Kielholtz”—which airs live on the CBS Sports Network at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT—also features a middleweight clash pairing Norbert Novenyi with Laid Zerhouni, a featherweight tilt pitting Brian Moore against Simone D'Anna and a catchweight affair matching Chris Duncan with Iamik Furtado at 160 pounds. The seven-fight undercard will stream to Bellator’s YouTube channel at 12:45 p.m. ET/9:45 a.m. ET.
