TOTAL NUMBER OF KSW FIGHTS: 634
TOTAL NUMBER OF KSW EVENTS: 75

KSW kept the content machine rolling with its 69th numbered show inside of a studio in Warsaw, Poland. The bantamweight belt went up for grabs against a late replacement, and the defending champ soared. KSW 69 featured one of the latest finishes ever seen in a KSW cage, a “Polish Eagle” that grounds himself by almost always going the distance and the rare feat of a competitor landing knockouts across multiple rounds in their KSW tenure.

69 Was Just Another Show: Although it was titled KSW 69, this fight card capped off by Sebastian Przybysz vs. Werlleson Martins Ribeiro checked in as the 75th event in organizational history. This includes three “Elimination” events, two “Extra” cards and one “Fight Club” all in 2011 or earlier.

Sebix Selects: Przybysz defended his bantamweight strap by tapping out Martins in the fifth round. “Sebix” set the record for the most consecutive title defenses in KSW bantamweight history with two in victory.

A Dynasty in the Works: Only 10 fighters had ever notched two straight KSW championship defenses, which includes names like Michal Materla, Tomasz Narkun and Philip De Fries. Przybysz is the 11th to achieve this feat across every champ in KSW history.

No Coasting Allowed: With the finish materializing at 2:07 of Round 5, Przybysz recorded the second-latest stoppage in organizational history. De Fries notched one at 3:44 of the fifth round in February to set the record. Those are the only two stoppages after the 20-minute mark in a KSW contest.

Plastinho Love: In the co-headliner, Pawel Pawlak took home a split decision win over Cezary Kesik. “Plastinho” started his career with nine finishes across 10 wins, while he has gone the distance in seven of his last eight outings.

The Woman Screaming Was Ruchala’s Mother: Robert Ruchala overwhelmed Michele Baiano to secure the unanimous decision victory, keeping his perfect record intact at 7-0. The 23-year-old has fought beyond the first round in six of his seven career fights.

1, 2, 3, You’re Out: Putting Wilson Varela away in the second round, Poland’s Maciej Kazieczko has achieved an unusual distinction by recording knockouts in Rounds 1, 2 and 3 as a KSW fighter. The only others to do so are KSW greats Mariusz Pudzianowski, Michal Materla and Roberto Soldic.

An FF-Files Piece is Coming for Jivko: Artur Szczepaniak landed the rear-naked choke in the first round on fellow KSW newcomer Jivko Stoimenov to make his successful debut with the promotion. As a pro, the 25-year-old from Konin, Poland, celebrates half of his wins by knockout, 25% due to tapout and the other quarter on the scorecards.

The Eagle Keeps Landing: Over the course of three rounds, Pawel Politylo outworked Patryk Chrobak to get his hand raised by decision. “The Polish Eagle” has gone the distance in all five of his last fights, while leaving the result in the hands of the judges in nine of his 10 career outings.

Incremental Improvements: Very early into his burgeoning career, Wojciech Kazieczko knocked Lubos Lesak in his second professional fight. “The Predator” recorded the knockout three seconds faster than his pro debut, putting Lesak out at 1:45 compared to beating Milosz Wasik in a minute, 48 seconds.

Never Say Never Again: Coming into KSW 69, Kesik (14 fights) and Natalia Baczynska (seven fights) had never lost on the scorecards, Baiano had never been defeated (seven fights) and Varela had never been knocked out (eight fights).
