By the Numbers: UFC Rotterdam
Alistair Overeem’s legitimacy as a heavyweight title contender cannot be denied.
The hulking Dutchman earned another significant triumph in the UFC Fight Night Rotterdam headliner on Sunday, knocking out Jackson-Wink stablemate Andrei Arlovski with a jumping front kick and punches 1:12 into the second round. After the bout, Overeem called for a chance to face the winner of the UFC 198 heavyweight championship tilt between Fabricio Werdum and Stipe Miocic when the promotion makes its debut in New York on Nov. 12.

119: Significant strikes landed by Karolina Kowalkiewicz in her unanimous decision triumph against Heather Clark at strawweight. The Polish fighter outlanded her opponent 84 to 41 in the second and third rounds combined.
87: Significant strikes to the head landed by Kowalkiewicz. By comparison, Clark landed 46. Kowalkiewicz also held a 34-to-9 edge in significant clinch strikes landed.
0: Takedowns landed, in 15 attempts for Clark. The Syndicate MMA product failed on eight takedown attempts in the second round alone.
12: Takedowns landed by Rustam Khabilov in his last two UFC appearances, decision triumphs over Chris Wade and Norman Park. The Dagestani landed six of nine takedowns in taking a three-round verdict over Wade on Sunday.

6: Takedowns landed, in eight attempts by Horiguchi, a UFC best for the former title challenger. By comparison, Demetrious Johnson landed 14 takedowns to Horiguchi’s one in their flyweight championship encounter at UFC 186.
4: Takedowns landed, in 10 attempts, by Yuta Sasaki before his submission victory over Willie Gates 3:30 into the second round of their flyweight bout. “Ulka” also passed guard five times en route to securing the fight-ending rear-naked choke.
