By the Numbers: UFC Fight Night 231

Jailton Almeida took a different route for his latest Ultimate Fighting Championship triumph.

After finishing his first five Octagon foes inside two rounds, “Maladinho” dominated Derrick Lewis for the better part of 25 minutes en route to a unanimous decision triumph in the UFC Fight Night 231 headliner at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo on Saturday night. After the victory, Almeida called out former interim title holder Ciryl Gane, a fight that if it comes to fruition, could significantly further his progress toward the top of the division.
