Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki brings together a power-packed card with KSW 91, which will take place on Feb. 17 at Home Credit Arena in Liberec, Czech Republic. The cream of the crop of Saturday’s event is a highly-anticipated clash for the interim lightweight belt between the No. 2 ranked Valeriu Mircea and the No. 3 ranked Leo Brichta.

Mircea has fought four times under the KSW banner. He locked horns with Polish powerhouse Roman Szymanski in his debut, where “The Solitary Wolf” suffered a technical knockout loss due to a hand injury but was determined to quickly return to the cage. At KSW 76, he sent Gracjan Szadzinski crashing to the canvas in the second minute of the fight. Two months later, the 30-year-old faced former KSW champion Borys Mankowski and knocked him out with a highlight reel flying knee, which was chosen as the best finish of the evening at KSW 78. In June 2023, he sought redemption in the cage for his debut loss to Szymanski, scoring a split-decision victory at the KSW 83 showcase.

His opponent, Brichta, hailing from the Czech Republic, made a successful promotional debut in June. 2023, defeating Maciej Kazieczko via split decision. In his second fight, he faced Roman Szymanski and stopped him in the dying seconds of the final frame. The clash would later be crowned the best fight of the evening at the KSW 87 gala.
