Dana White’s Contender Series graduate Sodiq Yusuff will attempt to climb another rung on the Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight ladder when he squares off with former Ring of Combat titleholder Edson Barboza in the UFC Fight Night 230 headliner on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Jennifer Maia toes the line against Viviane Araujo in the three-round women’s flyweight co-main event at 125 pounds.

As UFC Fight Night “Yusuff vs. Barboza” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card bring to the table:

7: Consecutive calendar years in which Yusuff has fought at least once. He went 3-0 in 2016, 2-1 in 2017, 3-0 in 2018, 2-0 in 2019, 1-0 in 2020, 0-1 in 2021 and 2-0 in 2022.

14: Barboza wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 61% of his career total (23). His list of UFC victims: Billy Quarantillo, Shane Burgos, Dan Hooker, Beneil Dariush, Evan Dunham, Rafaello Oliveira, Lucas Martins, Terry Etim and Mike Lullo.

652: Days spent by Maia as Invicta Fighting Championships flyweight titleholder. She was promoted to undisputed champion on Sept. 22, 2016 and successfully retained the 125-pound crown twice before she vacated it to sign with the UFC on July 7, 2018.

5: Countries in which Araujo has plied her MMA trade. She has gone 2-4 in the United States, 5-1 in Brazil, 2-0 in Japan, 1-0 in Canada and 1-0 in the United Arab Emirates.

56: Seconds needed for Jonathan Martinez to put away Randy Hinds with an armbar inside the Fist Fight League in September 2017. More than six years later it remains the Factory X rep’s fastest finish to date. Martinez confronts Adrian Yanez in a three-round bantamweight showcase.

250,000: Dollars in post-fight bonuses banked by Yanez across his six appearances in the UFC. The Metro Fight Club standout has been awarded “Performance of the Night” four times and “Fight of the Night” once.

18: Takedowns completed by Andre Petroski in his five UFC assignments, all of them victories. The onetime Art of War champion executed a career-high eight of them in a unanimous decision over Wellington Turman at UFC 281. Petroski fills in for Marc-Andre Barriault on short notice to battle Michel Pereira in a three-round middleweight attraction.

94: Rounds started by Pereira as a professional mixed martial artist. He has gone the distance on 19 different occasions and carries an 11-8 record in those bouts.

6,085: Miles between where Daniel da Silva trains at the Chute Boxe affiliate fronted by Diego Lima in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and UFC headquarters in Las Vegas. “Miojo” faces Edgar Chairez in a three-round catchweight rematch at 130 pounds.

6: Chairez victories by submission, accounting for 60% of his career total (10). His methods of choice: three armbars, one triangle choke, one rear-naked choke and one guillotine choke.

22: Years of age for Cameron Saaiman. The youngest fighter on the card, he was born on Dec. 20, 2000 in Pretoria, South Africa. Saaiman puts his perfect 9-0 record on the line against Christian Rodriguez in a three-round bantamweight appetizer.

71: Inches of reach for Rodriguez. It gives the Roufusport export a four-inch advantage over the undefeated Saaiman in that department.

39: Years of age for Darren Elkins. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born on May 16, 1984 in Portage, Indiana. Elkins collides with T.J. Brown in a three-round featherweight prelim.

.721: Cumulative winning percentage between the 24 fighters slated to compete at the event. They sport a combined record of 313-119-7. Pereira has the most wins (28) of anyone on the card and enters the show tied with Barboza and Elkins for the most losses (11).
