Santos edged fellow Brazilian Johnny Walker via unanimous decision in a closely-contested — but largely uneventful — light heavyweight bout in Saturday’s headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. A former 205-pound title challenger, “Marreta” snapped a three-bout losing streak. Walker, meanwhile, has lost three of his last four Octagon appearances.

92: Combined significant strikes landed by Santos (44) and Walker (48) in the five-round affair. That means Santos averaged 8.8 strikes landed per round, while Walker averaged 9.6. Santos outlanded Walker 11 to 10 in Round 2, 11 to 10 in Round 3 and 10 to 8 in Round 5. Walker, meanwhile, outlanded Santos 9 to 3 in Round 1 and 11 to 9 in Round 4.

7: Bouts since Misha Cirkunov had last seen a second round in the Octagon, when he submitted Ion Cutelaba in the third round of their clash at UFC Fight Night 89 on June 18, 2016. Cirkunov went to the second round — and beyond — in a split-decision setback against Krzysztof Jotko in his middleweight debut at UFC Fight Night 193. It was the first time in 11 UFC appearances that Cirkunov has gone the distance.
12: Takedowns successfully defended by Jotko. Cirkunov, landed just five of his 17 attempts in the fight.

3: Consecutive wins inside the distance for Casey O’Neill, currently the longest active finishing streak for UFC women, regardless of weight class. O’Neill’s three-fight winning streak ties her with Taila Santos, Sabina Mazo and Sijara Eubanks for the second-longest in the women’s flyweight division behind only reigning champ Valentina Shevchenko (eight).
102: Total strikes landed by O’Neill in the decisive second stanza. Shevchneko, meanwhile, landed just 20 in the period. O’Neill also held a 43-to-11 advantage in significant strikes landed in Round 2.
2-6-1: UFC record for Bethe Correia after beginning her promotional tenure with three consecutive victories to earn a bantamweight title shot against Ronda Rousey at UFC 190. The 38-year-old Brazilian closed out her MMA career with a lopsided decision loss to Karol Rosa on Saturday.
4: Consecutive victories for Rosa, the second longest active winning streak in the UFC women’s bantamweight division behind only Amanda Nunes (nine).
125: Significant strikes landed by Rosa, the third time in four UFC outings the surging Brazilian has landed more than 100 significant strikes. By comparison, Correia landed 62 significant strikes.
27: Significant strikes by which Jamie Mullarkey outlanded Devonte Smith in the second round of their lightweight encounter. Mullarkey landed 14 significant strikes to the head, 15 to the body and five to the legs en route to a technical knockout stoppage 2:51 into Round 2. Smith outlanded Mullarkey by a 22-to-21 count in significant strikes in the opening stanza.
2,038: Combined layoff for Alejandro Perez (819 days) and Johnny Eduardo (1,219) heading into their bantamweight fight. Perez ended up with the triumphant return, submitting Eduardo with a scarf-hold armlock 4:13 into Round 2.
