By The Numbers: Tom Aspinall vs. Marcin Tybura

Nearly one full year has passed since Tom Aspinall’s meteoric rise in the Ultimate Fighting Championship was halted by forces outside of his control.

The 6-foot-5 Englishman will return to the Octagon for his first assignment of 2023 when he confronts former M-1 Global champion Marcin Tybura in the UFC Fight Night 224 headliner on Saturday at the O2 Arena in London. Aspinall has rattled off eight wins over his past nine outings. He last competed at UFC Fight Night 208, where a knee injury resulted in a 15-second technical knockout loss to Curtis Blaydes on July 23. Tybura, meanwhile, steps into the cage on a modest two-fight winning streak. He last suited up on Feb. 4, when he laid claim to a unanimous decision over Blagoy Ivanov at UFC Fight Night 218.
