By The Numbers: Marcelo Golm vs. Daniel James

Unlikely heavyweight contenders will lock horns under the Bellator MMA marquee when Marcelo Golm faces Daniel James in the Bellator 293 main event on Friday at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. They are part of a growing line that has formed behind current champion Ryan Bader.

Golm steps into the cage on the strength of a four-fight winning streak. The American Top Team export last appeared on July 22, when he put away Davion Franklin with a rear-naked choke in the third round of their Bellator 283 pairing. James, meanwhile, has also rattled off four consecutive victories. He last fought at Bellator 288, where he took care of Tyrell Fortune with a volley of punches and elbows in the second round of their Nov. 18 encounter.

As Golm and James make final preparations ahead of their forthcoming showdown, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:
